Sugar Cookies- 1 CUP Butter, softened
- 1 CUP Sugar
- 2 Eggs
- 1 TSP Vanilla
- 3 3/4 CUPS Flour
- 2 TSP Baking Powder
- 1/4 CUP Heavy Whipping Cream
In large bowl cream butter and sugar together. Stir in eggs one at a time and the vanilla. Sift together flour and baking powder into a medium bowl. Add flour mixture into wet mixture alternating with the whipping cream. Cover dough and chill for 2-3 hours.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Roll dough out 1/4 inch thick on well floured surfaced and cut into desired shapes. Bake on a greased cookie sheet for 12-14 minutes.
Sugar Cookie Icing
- 1 CUP Confectioner's Sugar
- 2 TSP Milk (I used Half and Half)
- 2 TSP Light Corn Syrup
- 1/4 TSP Vanilla
- Food Coloring
In small bowl stir together sugar and milk until smooth. Beat in corn syrup and vanilla until smooth and glossy. You may have to add more milk or corn syrup to get the desired consistency. Divide into smaller bowls and add food coloring.
