Sweet Dinner Rolls

These rolls were good but they tasted just like store bought. They weren't hard to make but I don't think they were worth the extra work.

Sweet Dinner Rolls
  • 1/2 CUP Warm Water
  • 1 TBS Sugar
  • 1 PKG Active Dry Yeast
  • 1/2 CUP Warm Milk
  • 1/3 CUP Butter
  • 1/3 CUP Sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 TSP Salt
  • 3 3/4 CUPS Flour

Dissolve yeast and tablespoon of sugar in warm water and let rise for 10 minutes. Warm milk and butter in microwave for 35-45 seconds. Add sugar to milk mixture. In large bowl combine milk mixture, yeast mixture and egg. Stir in flour and knead for 7-8 minutes. Cover dough and let rise for one hour. Punch dough down and roll into 16 balls. Place on greased baking sheet and cover and let rise for another 30 minutes. Bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
